I've always wanted to build my own home. My parents have built and rennovated several houses and rental properties, and although most of the work they did was before I was born, I've learned quite a bit from them about house construction and remodeling. I found that I enjoyed both the architectural design and the hands-on construction parts of it; and as always, I enjoy learning and doing something new and challenging.

It wasn't practical to take on a complete house construction as a novice, so instead of building from scratch, I began looking for a fixer-upper which I could improve. This collection of pictures shows what has been done, and what is still planned, for the new house.
